In celebration of National Coffee Dunkin’ Day on Tuesday, September 29, Dunkin’ is partnering with Georgia Officers in support of Special Olympics Georgia’s Torch Run. From 5:00 AM through 11:00 AM, Special Olympics Georgia volunteers will be joined by local law enforcement to welcome guests and collect donations on behalf of Special Olympics Georgia at 76 participating Dunkin’ locations throughout the state.
Dunkin’ has been keeping millions of Americans running for decades and is recognized as one of the country’s most-loved brands. This year, in celebration of its passionate fans and everyone across the U.S. for whom Dunkin’ is synonymous with great coffee, Dunkin’ is making it official by renaming National Coffee Day on September 29 as National Dunkin’ Day. Coffee lovers will be able to celebrate National Dunkin’ Day in the best way possible: with a free medium hot or iced coffee (with any purchase) * at Dunkin’ restaurants nationwide on Tuesday, September 29.
“At Dunkin’, our franchisees are local business owners who truly enjoy being involved in the communities they serve,” said Katie Gaston, Field Marketing Manager, Dunkin’. “We are honored to have the opportunity to host this fundraiser at our Dunkin’ locations to help Special Olympics Georgia continue in its mission. We are grateful to our guests the last five years who have helped support $323,672.23 dollars in donations to the Special Olympics of Georgia.”
In 2016, Dunkin’ and Special Olympics Georgia launched the Officers at Donut Shops Fundraiser in efforts to support Special Olympics mission. The mission of Special Olympics Georgia is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community. To date, the program has raised more than $323,672.23 to benefit the athletes at Special Olympics Georgia.
