Yet Another Undefeated Chattooga County Team, Trion Middle School Lady Bulldogs Move To 9-0

Trion Middle Softball remains Undefeated

Trion Varsity (9-0) put another win in the books after a 9 inning ballgame against Ringgold on Friday September 11th.  Whitney Shepherd took the mound for Trion.  She brought the heat striking out 8 of the Ringgold batters.   Trion was up 1-0 in bottom of the 7th inning when Ringgold came back and scored 1 and tried to score another however with relays from Emma Witt to Chloe Murdock to Shelby Carlock at home plate tagged the runner out for the 3rd out.  In the 8th inning both Trion and Ringgold scored 2 runs to extend the game to the 9th inning.  Trion’s bats came alive in the 9th and scored 4 more runs.  Ringgold fell short in the 9th putting only 2 runs on the board to make the final score 7-5.  With Shepherd’s outstanding pitching, great defense behind her, and support from offense contributed to Trion’s success.  Hot bats from Lily Keen (4 for 5, RBI), Gracie Burns (3 for 5), Carlock (2 for 5, 2 RBIs), Murdock (2 for 4, 2 RBIs, SAC), and Shepherd, Jenna Mosley, and Witt (RBI) each contributing a hit and Lauren Woods (SAC, RBI) consisted of Trion’s offense for the game.  

Trion upcoming schedule is:

Wednesday September 16 at Dade County (Varsity & JV)

Friday September 18 at Gordon Lee (Varsity & JV)

The team will also travel Saturday September 19 to Warner Park in a TN ASA Middle School tournament.
