The Trion 9 and 10 mite girls All-Stars will be playing for the district championship tonight. The Lady Dogs kicked off the season by winning the Santa in Uniform tournament. They were undefeated in the regular season, finishing with a 12-0 record. Counting all tournament games, the team is currently on a 17 game winning streak after defeating Summerville last night in the district semifinals match up with a final score of 16-9.
There are 12 teams in District 5. Trion has already had victories over Haralson County and Catoosa County and will face Fannin County tonight for the District Championship game. The game will be at the Murray County Recreation Department.
The team is coached by Alania Carpenter.
