Seemingly finding his rhythm of late, Rome starter Touki Toussaint pitched eight strong innings Monday night, giving up one earned run on three hits, no walks, and striking out three. The lone run for Columbia in the 4-1 Braves victory came on a Joe Tuschak homer in the sixth inning.
Rome had 12 hits in the game, with every single Braves batter except one posting a hit. Matt Custred picked up his first save of the year, coming in to pitch the ninth, giving up a walk, and striking out one.
