Sluggers Hosmer and Marshall Went Deep to Rally the Tribe

Thursday the Lady Indians defeated Darlington by a score of 6-3. The team was lead by Rachel Nichols with two hits, Rose Jones also with two hits and one RBI, Abbey Tudor also had two hits. The Indians scored five runs in the 5th inning off of Abby Hosmer’s three run home run. Head Coach Jeff Bennett had this to say, “Abby’s home run put a spark in our offense and our team to finish strong.”

Sydney Marshall continued the Indians power hitting with a two run home run. Marshall is a new addition to the Lady Indians and one that Coach Bennett is very glad to have, ” Sydney has been a big addition to our team. She has come in worked hard and helped our team win. She can also play many positions.”

Kailen Greer got the win giving up 9 hits, walking 3, and striking out 5. The Indians will host the Coosa Eagles Tuesday at 5:30. Come out and support the Lady Indians.
