Player of the week honors go to Shayla Youngblood. Youngblood is a junior and plays shortstop for the Trion High School Softball Team. She bats left handed and is hitting .431 with 10RBIs and 12 stolen bases.
“Shayla has really stepped into a much needed leadership role on our team and I’m very proud of her hard-work and attitude,” said Coach Jason Lanham.
Shayla maintains a 3.9 GPA and also plays basketball and tennis.
She is the daughter of Shannon and Ronte Johnson.
