Trion’s McCutchins named Region Player of the Year

Trion Basketball’s I’ziah McCutchins was named the Region Player of the Year.

McCutchins is the point guard for the Lady Bulldogs.

McCutchins has scored 322 points in 21 games.

“This recognition means a great deal to me,” Bulldog Head Coach Garrett Brown said. “She is the hardest worker on the team and it is much deserved. I thought it would happen for her at some point, she was in the running for player of the year last year and finished 3rd. Getting it as a junior is special. Her attitude, hard work, and skill are great, but she’s a good student, friend and teammate as well. She’s the total package and we’re all very proud of her.”

In addition to high school basketball McCutchins plays AAU basketball for Wood Elite 2024.
