Trion High School Celebrates CTAE Month

Villeda Concrete

The month of February was national CTAE month, and Trion High School celebrated in many ways! CTAE stands for career, technology, and agriculture education, and the acronym refers to high school classes that push students to achieve in whatever career they pursue post graduation.

To kick off the month THS hosted nine guest speakers to enlighten students on careers in different fields. Students were also able to sign up for various field trips. Some of these field trips included touring GNTC’s welding and automotive programs, Construction Career Expo in Atlanta, and the Atrium Floyd Hospital tour.

To round out the month, Trion’s CTAE clubs celebrated by having an honorary luncheon for the students, teachers, and administrators that use their hard work and leadership skill,  to ensure that CTAE on The Hill continues to thrive. Students in these organizations work hard all year to compete in state competitions in varying categories in hopes of continuing to the national competition.

Mrs. Jenifer Patterson, Trion High School’s  Vice Principal and CTAE director said,”Thank you to all of the guest speakers for taking time out of their day to better inform our students, and Good Luck to our competitors!”

Thank you to everyone who played a role in educating students and made sure that this year’s CTAE month was something to remember!
