Chattooga High School Marching Indians Halftime Show to feature music of Journey

    The 2024-25 Chattooga High School Marching Indians started band camp Monday, July 8 through July 19. With the summer heat, director Gene Greer gave many water breaks amid the setting of the show drill. This title of this years halftime is Journey of Love, featuring the music of 1980’s supergroup Journey. Show music includes: Open Arms, Any Way You Want It and Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin’.

    July 15, band students were treated to lunch from Taco Bell, sponsored by Blake Chira and his crew. Friday as band camp ended for this year, the band enjoyed a cold water soaking by the Summerville Fire Department and fireman, Mickey Floyd.

    Band students were sent home with full stomachs courtesy of the Chattooga Band Boosters cookout by members; Avis Black, Eric Sanford, Yolanda Sanford and Jaylon, Nick Eleam (trumpet player), Otis Laney, Gene Greer, Chasity Brunache, David and Rachael Laney andOtis Laney, Jason and Amy Hall, Tabitha Wright and Scott Satterfield. Lunch consisted of hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and drinks.

    Friday, July 26th come see the Marching Indians perform their 2024-25 production of Journey of Love at the Little Big Horn stadium at 7 p.m., weather permitting.
