Georgia’s Rome Office of Tourism and the Rome Area History Center is proud to announce the return of the award-winning Haunted on Broad Tours for 2021. This event was recognized by Northwest Georgia’s Historic High Country Travel Association as the “Best Event” in 2019!
Be prepared to hear bone-chilling tales shared by the Ridge and Valley Storytelling Guild, and while you’re there, if you look closely, you may get to see some famous ghostly visitors from the dark side of Rome’s past. Members of the Southern Paranormal Investigators will also be on hand at select locations to share their findings from all new investigations in the downtown Rome area. All of this begs the question, are you ever truly alone?
Tours will be held on the following weekends: October 1 and 2, October 8 and 9. Tours will begin at 7pm until 9pm. Tours last about 90 minutes. (This event is not recommended for children under 12.) The tour route includes steep slopes, uneven pavement, and a lot of walking; guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and clothing.
Due to current state and local COVID 19 guidelines, we will require that everyone wear a mask, and hand sanitizer will be available along the tour route.
All tours will depart from the Rome Area History Center at 305 Broad Street every 30 minutes.
Participants who purchase tickets are eligible to enter for a chance to become a guest investigator with the Southern Paranormal Investigators at an undisclosed location.
Cost: Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased below by clicking the link or in-person at a Georgia’s Rome Welcome Center & Gift Shop located at 402 Civic Center Drive and 300 W First Street.
