Make plans to go visit Heimu’s Himalayan Garden

Tucked away in a serene corner of Chattooga County in Shinbone Valley, set against the backdrop of Lookout Mountain, Heimu’s Himalayan Garden is far more than just a place to acquire distinctive plants, seeds, and gifts.

It is a haven that beckons visitors to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature and find solace in the tranquility of their surroundings. Beyond being a marketplace for flowers and seeds, Heimu also sells one-of-a-kind jewelry, birdhouses, wind chimes, pottery, and other knick-knacks, ensuring you can find a one-of-a-kind gift in Chattooga County.

Heimu’s Himalayan Garden offers a respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, inviting individuals to pause, sit, appreciate, and savor the experience.

“I have always loved working with plants and flowers,” Heimu said. “Working in the outdoors along with nature brings me peace.”

She is constantly rooting a variety of native and exotic plants to sell and gathering seeds.

Heimu Fisher opened her garden in 2021 when COVID shutdowns brought people together outside, and a common destination was her garden. Since then, things have slowed down, and she wants to remind everyone she is still there and invite them to visit, so consider this a personal invitation to revisit Heimu.

In addition to the seeds, plants, birdhouses, pottery, wind chimes, and jewelry she has for sale now, she will soon have a large shipment of mums for sale for the fall.

As we head into the holiday season, Heimu will be planning an open house where you will find a gift to suit everyone on your list.

Heimu’s husband, Tyler Fisher, stays busy right alongside her with honey production and cattle. Tyler met Heimu in China. Heimu at the time could not speak English, and the rest is what love stories are made of. She spent three years watching American TV and learned to speak English. The couple have one son, Clovis.

Heimu’s Himalayan Garden is just outside Menlo at 1051 S Shinbone Road.
