Out loud

Living out our faith boldly is an important part of following Christ. The Bible is filled with verses encouraging us to express our beliefs and demonstrate our faith through actions. As Christians, we are called to let our light shine before others, to be a witness to the world around us, and to stand firm in our beliefs regardless of any opposition we may face. In this article, we will explore the importance of living our faith out loud and how we can do so effectively, drawing upon the foundational truths found in the Word of God.

One of the most well-known passages in the Bible that calls us to live our faith out loud is found in Matthew 5:16, where Jesus declares, “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” This verse emphasizes the importance of not only professing our faith with words but also demonstrating it through our actions. A Christian life should reflect Christ’s love and grace, for all to see.  In all we do and say, we are a true reflection of Christ, love, or at least we should be.  Another great verse is 1 Peter 3:15, we are encouraged to always be prepared to give a reason for the hope that is within us, doing so with gentleness and respect. This verse reminds us that our faith should not be kept hidden or private but should be shared openly with others. We are called to be ready to share our beliefs and the good news of Jesus with those around us, doing so in a way that honors God and shows His love to others.

Living out our faith visibly also involves obeying God’s Word and following His commands. In James 2:17, we are told that faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. This verse highlights the importance of not only believing in God but also living in accordance with His will and demonstrating our faith through our actions. Our actions should align with our beliefs, showing the world that we are followers of Christ.

Another key aspect of living our faith out loud is being bold and unashamed in sharing Jesus with others. In Romans 1:16, Paul declares, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.” This verse reminds us not to be afraid to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ to those around us, trusting in the gospel’s transformative power to bring salvation to all who hear it. Our message is a message of hope and salvation.

In conclusion, living our faith out loud is a fundamental part of following Jesus. We are to show the love of Jesus, in all that we do.  However, let us not think that being bold in our faith is an excuse to be rude or pushy or judgmental. Living an out loud type faith means living unashamed in my walk with God. I don’t apologize for being a Christ follower or believing what I believe.   However, the heart of the Gospel is showing Jesus’ love, grace, and mercy to all the people I interact with daily.  To love God and love people is the loudest statement a believer in Jesus can ever speak!
