Living Unashamed

 

In light of recent events that have taken place over the last few years and days, the name of Jesus has been openly attacked and blasphemed.   It was time for me to write a few words concerning where we should stand as believers in Christ.   Number one, Jesus said they would know we were His disciples by our love for one another. We must continue to love people, even if they do not agree or believe what we believe in. We will never convince them that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life if we do not conduct our lives by loving God and loving people.  

 

In a world where beliefs and values vary greatly,the name of Jesus Christ stands out as a beacon of hope, love, and redemption for millions of believers around the globe. As Christians, we are called never to be ashamed of the name of Jesus but to boldly proclaim His message of salvation, grace, and love to all those around us.

 

The Bible is full of verses that speak to the importance of honoring and exalting the name of Jesus. As stated earlier, Jesus Himself declares, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 This powerful scriptureunderscores the exclusivity of Jesus Christ as the only path to salvation and eternal life. This is why Satan attacks the name of Jesus…he fears its power.  As Christ’s followers, we should take pride and joy in sharing this truth with others, confident in the life-changing power of His name.  

 

In Romans 1:16, the apostle Paul writes, “ For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” This verse serves as a strong reminder that the message of Jesus is not something to be hidden or kept secret but rather boldly proclaimed to all who will hear. The name of Jesus is synonymous with salvation, healing, and deliverance. As His ambassadors, we have a responsibility to share His love and truth with a world in desperate need of hope.

 

In Philippians 2:9-11, we read, “Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name,  so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,  and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” These verses highlight the supreme authority and power of the name of Jesus. One day, every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that He is Lord, and we have the privilege of declaring this truth to the world today.

 

As followers of Christ, we may encounter opposition or ridicule for our faith in Jesus. However, in Luke 9:26, Jesus Himself assures us, “ For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.” This solemn warning reminds us that our allegiance to Christ should be unwavering, even in the face of adversity or persecution.

 

The name of Jesus holds immeasurable power and significance for believers. In Acts 4:12, we are told, “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” This verse encapsulates the essence of the Christian faith – that Jesus is the only way to redemption and reconciliation with God. We have been entrusted with the message of salvation through His name, and we should never shrink back from proclaiming it boldly and unashamedly.

 

In conclusion, as Christians, we are called never to be ashamed of the name of Jesus. His name is above every other name, and through Him, we find salvation, healing, and eternal life. Let us embrace the power and significance of His name and share His message of love and grace with boldness and confidence. As we stand firm in our faith, may we be a light to the world, pointing others to hope and salvation in Jesus Christ’s name!  Even when His name is mocked and ridiculed, we must remember our enemy is Satan and his demons.  People need Jesus and we are called to show them Christ!  Love God and love people must be at the core of all we do.
