His exceptional talent was evident from the moment Trevor Burdick set foot on the wrestling mat at six.
Burdick’s remarkable journey includes nine consecutive Team Georgia Championships and securing four GHSA State Championships in the AAA Division for Sonoraville High School between 2016 and 2019.
Throughout 13 years and 47 matches, Burdick remained undefeated in Georgia State Championship Tournaments, solidifying his place as one of the state’s most accomplished wrestlers.
He has achieved All-American status while representing the Reinhardt University Wrestling team for the last three years.
The 2024 NAIA Nationals tournament, in Wichita, Kansas, was held over three days, beginning on Thursday, February 29th, and concluding on Saturday, March 2nd.
Burdick secured 4th place, earning All-American honors for his outstanding performance.
“Trevor is the epitome of a true warrior, wrestled with a torn labrum all season and never complained or made excuses like most guys these days,” Reinhardt Head Wrestling Coach Jeff Bedard said. “He is a leader on and off the mat 100%. It has been a privilege to have coached him all these years. He made me better too as a coach. Love the young man.”
Trevor is the son of Jake and Vickie Burdick of Summerville.
