Skeletal remains found in Trion

The Chattooga Co Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with Trion Police Department, are currently investigating the reported sighting of possible skeletal remains. This location is on private property and is near Hwy 27 river bridge in Trion. The report came in yesterday evening and both offices began looking in the area of the possible sighting. As it became too dark to continue, we are resuming the search this morning utilizing specially trained dogs from a search and rescue group from Huntsville Alabama.
