I wish we could have gotten part of the Velvatones from Gadsden High to perform with her other school choirs. What a tribute that would be to her. But I know we are all scattered by the wind. She was the best choir director for me. She believed in me and made me believe in myself. I will always be greatful for her take her time and making me preform solo at competition in 1991. That was the most nervous I think I have ever been but she was there and made me so much better for doing it. Out the memories I have of her…her glass shoes…going to get donuts for our fundraisers…going to preform for the residents of nursing homes…performing in the mall. The plays we did…”Under the Sea”…I still go around singing “Life is better down where it is wetter take it from me”.
I will miss her hugs every time we saw each other…Rhonda you were a hero to me and so many others. I love you and will miss you so much more than I can ever say.
To her family I pray peace for you all…may God send down Angels to hold you and ease your pain.

    My love to you all,
    December Joy McGowan Herrera

I am shocked & sad to just find out that my Actors Models & Talent for Christ Friend Rhonda Kiser Ledbetter is no longer with us. Realizing she is with The Lord I know that I will see her again. We met several years ago while taking classes in Atlanta for AMTC. We went on to graduate in the 2015 SUMMER SHINE Class held in Orlando at the Gaylord Palms Resort. Rhonda was such a sweet and talented lady with a bubbly personality. I really enjoyed being paired in the group with her. She inspired & encouraged everyone that was in our group.
I knew we hadn’t connected on Facebook in over a year. So I looked her up only to find out she’s in Heaven. Praying for her Family & Friends because I know that she’s really missed. Rest In Peace my Sister Friend.
