Attending the National Championship game was a bucket list item for University of Georgia (UGA) senior, McKenzie Maddux, getting on TV was a nice bonus.
Maddux traveled to Indiana to watch her beloved Bulldogs play in the College Football Playoff National Championship game on Monday night. The 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship was played in Indianapolis at the Lucas Oil Stadium.
Thanks to a pair of late touchdown passes by Stetson Bennett and a game-sealing pick-six by Kelee Ringo, No. 3 Georgia defeated No. 1 Alabama, 33-18.
It was the University of Georgia’s first National Championship since 1980.
And for Maddux being in the stands was a dream come true.
Maddux, a 2019 graduate of Trion High School, will graduate from UGA in May with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management. With her sports management major, Maddux has access to all the sports teams.
