Allen Keen has resigned from his seat on Menlo’s City Council to challenge Theresa Canada for the Mayor position.

Keen released the following statement to AllOnGeorgia: “I have decided to resign my seat as councilman and run for mayor. This year I’ve been approached by many folks desperate to see some change around Menlo. The town also faces challenges ahead with Showa cutting jobs. I believe I’m the guy, alone with our other business owners and hardworking citizens, that can breathe some new life into this small town. I am a husband, father, and a business owner in this town. I’d like nothing but the best opportunities here. It’s time to revitalize Menlo and open a new chapter in our city’s storied history.
I humbly ask for your vote in order to help lead Menlo into a brighter future.”
