Detour Info for SR 1 Closure Notice, Railroad Repair Work, 9/8/23 to 9/11/23

The Chattooga & Chickamauga Railway (CCKY) is preparing to perform repairs to the railroad tracks on SR 1/US 27 in Chattooga County at MP 11 between Marvin Ave and Highland Ave. The work is anticipated to begin Friday 9/8/23 around 7pm and be completed on Monday 9/11/23 around 7pm.

All lanes of SR 1 will be closed during the repairs at the tracks. Detour signs will be installed that will guide traffic going northbound in Chattooga to SR 48, onto SR 337, and back on to SR 1 in Walker. Detour signs will be installed that will guide traffic going southbound in Walker County onto SR 337, then to SR 48, and back to SR 1 in Chattooga.
