Stacy Fountain, the Summerville Municipal Court Clerk was suspended without pay, and then resigned as a result of the missing money.

Fountain, an 18-year veteran of the police department, was in charge of the Santa in Uniform bank account, among others. The investigation is centered around Fountain because she had access to the accounts. Sources connected to the investigation claim that video evidence was obtained linking Fountain, on multiple occasions, to the missing funds.

Why is the investigation taking so long?

“With any financial type investigation, audits and records are involved and it takes time.  We have to figure out who broke the law, who took the money,” continued Ramey.

“I fully expect charges to be filed,” said Ramey.
