AdventHealth to Build New Women’s Cancer Pavilion in Rome

AdventHealth will soon begin construction on a new cancer pavilion in Rome, Georgia, focused on women’s health and comprehensive cancer services. The facility will be located in front of AdventHealth Stadium on Braves Boulevard, near the intersection of Veterans Memorial Highway and Riverside Parkway. Construction is set to begin in June.

“A cancer diagnosis impacts all areas of your life,” said Isaac Sendros, President and CEO of AdventHealth Georgia and AdventHealth Redmond. “Too many patients and families in our community are battling cancer,” Sendros added. “We are excited to enhance the quality of cancer care in Floyd County as we partner with these families in the early diagnosis and personalized treatment of this challenging disease.”

The 30,000-square-foot medical office building will expand access to AdventHealth’s established network of cancer care in Northwest Georgia. The Rome location will provide whole-person care through services such as medical oncology, infusion treatment, and women’s imaging.

The pavilion will house a dedicated team of oncologists, nurses, care navigators, pharmacists, and therapists. Patients will also benefit from services including genetic screening, nutrition and wellness classes, emotional and financial support, survivorship programs, oncology rehabilitation, access to clinical trials, and support groups.

The new medical pavilion is scheduled to open in Summer 2026. The community is invited to a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, May 30, at 2 pm on the south side of the parking lot of AdventHealth Stadium
