With the use of graphic panels and interactive kiosks, Walker County African American Museum & Cultural Center tells the stories of African Americans of the Lookout Mountain Judicial District from ancient Africa to the present.
This center mainly focuses on Walker County but includes African Americans of Dade, Catoosa and Chattooga counties; therefore, creating an excellent educational experience for students of all ages and tourists wishing to explore far northwest Georgia history.
Hours of operation:
Wednesday through Saturday, 10am-6pm.
Sundays, 1pm-4pm.
Closed Mondays, Tuesdays, Holidays and lunch hour (Mon-Sat. 1pm-2pm).
Donations accepted – $5 adults, $1 children, 18 and under.
