Ten Cub Scouts from Pack 38 and two Troop 7 members traveled to Chattanooga National Cemetery Saturday, December 17 to participate in the Wreaths Across Chattanooga Ceremony and placement of Remembrance Wreaths for Wreaths Across America Day. Scouts attended the ceremony and then participated placing the Remembrance Wreaths on many graves. As the wreaths were placed scouts stated the veterans name to remember the life they lived.
Wreaths Across Chattanooga remains to honor each of the almost 50,000 graves at Chattanooga National Cemetery with a wreath in December. We shall remember all Chattanooga Veterans who served our country; honor the lives of those who served and made the ultimate sacrifice; and teach the value of freedom and learn about those who preserved our freedom.
This was an opportunity for Scouts from Chattooga County to connect “The Greatest Generations” with the “Generation of Hope” and an opportunity to honor our Chattanooga Heroes.”
