Families are critical partners throughout the school year, but especially during this period of state and federally required testing. Families can help encourage their child’s success by ensuring children arrive at school on time, well rested, and with a positive outlook. Encourage your child to simply do their best. Schools have also been hosting fun motivational events and pep rallies to support students and encourage them during this time.
The Georgia Milestones Assessment System provides valuable information for teachers, schools, and the school district related to each child’s progress and performance. It provides families with important information related to their child’s reading levels, academic growth, and mastery of content standards.
The Georgia Department of Education has resources available for parents and students in English and Spanish, including a parent flyer with frequently asked questions and practice tests for students. These are available at on Bulloch County Schools’ website . If families have additional questions about the upcoming spring testing, please contact your child’s school for more information.
