The Bulloch Blues Marching Band performed at Disney World last weekend in the prestigious Marching Down Magic Kingdom Parade, as the theme park continues to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
Coordinated by the Disney Imagination Campus, the musicians were treated as honorary Disney cast members for the day. They were invited to perform during Disney World’s prestigious Marching Down Magic Kingdom Parade. Set in the evening, the 6 p.m. parade is one of the most iconic parades along the venue’s famed Main Street.
The Bulloch Blues Marching Band is a musical collaboration. It is made up of 128 student musicians and band directors from our school district’s three high schools: Portal Middle High School, Southeast Bulloch High School, and Statesboro High School. This is the group’s first performance at Disney, and they were also able to explore EPCOT, Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios during their trip.
Bulloch County Schools’ marching and symphonic bands are under the direction of Matt Olsen (Southeast Bulloch), Lee Collins and Sergio Arreguin (Statesboro), and John Gleissner (Portal).
