Georgia Department of Transportation announced a five-day road closure in conjunction with Georgia Southern Railway crossing improvements on US 25 Bypass/Veterans Memorial Parkway west of US 301 intersection in the City of Statesboro.
US 25 Bypass/Veterans Memorial Parkway will be closed at the railroad crossing and traffic detoured from 7 a.m., Monday, December 4 through 6 p.m., Friday, December 8. Georgia DOT crews will install the road closure with a detour in place as vehicular traffic cannot cross the railroad tracks during this work. The roadway will reopen early if the work is completed ahead of schedule or could possibly be closed longer if weather delays the work.
Motorists will be able to access businesses, schools, and residences in the area up to work zone.
