[UPDATE: LOCATED & SAFE] Statesboro Police Seeking Help Locating Runaway Juvenile

UPDATE from SPD March 6, 3:00 pm: She has been located by law enforcement and is safe.

Statesboro Police Department detectives are seeking the public’s help locating a runaway juvenile. Destiny McKenzie, 13 years old, left her home in Statesboro around midnight last night. She was seen at a convenience store in Brooklet early this morning. See vehicle description and contact info below.

Detectives are currently seeking information on the whereabouts of Destiny McKenzie (13 years old) who left her home on Olde Towne Drive in Statesboro around midnight on 3/6/23. Investigation by detectives has confirmed that she was seen at a convenience store in Brooklet at 6:40 a.m. this date driving a silver 2018 Ford Explorer bearing Georgia tag RKU9030. Because she has the capability to travel across jurisdictions, we are sending out this release along with a picture of McKenzie to broaden the scope of the search.
