Statesboro Police Department detectives are seeking the public’s help locating a suspect wanted for aggravated assault. Officers responded Thursday to EGRMC for a male with a gunshot wound. Through the investigation, it was discovered that the shooter was Travis Marquis Webb. Webb had pistol whipped and then shot the victim in the parking lot of Groover Homes over a personal dispute. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

On 6/14/23 SPD Patrol officers responded to East Georgia Regional Medical Center where a 38 year old male with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the hip had arrived. The male indicated that he had been shot by a person known to him in the parking lot of Groover Homes on Packinghouse Road. Subsequent investigation indicated that Travis Marquis Webb (39, Mikell Street, Statesboro) had pistol whipped and then shot the victim over a personal dispute. Detectives issued a warrant for Webb for Aggravated Assault and are actively seeking him.
