Statesboro Police Make Arrest in Park Place Murder

Jamontea Marquil Pitts, 24 years old of Guyton, has been arrested in connection to the November 4 murder of 25 year-old Forrest Kibler at Park Place Apartments in Statesboro.

Effingham County Sheriff’s Office, Chatham County Counter Narcotics Team, Savannah Metro Police Department, Savannah Area Regional Intelligence Center, and Guyton Police Department joined SPD in the investigation. Pitts was arrested on November 8 in Chatham County, and has been charged with 1 count Murder.

The case is still under investigation. No further information is being released at this time.
