Statesboro Police Investigating Aggravated Assault at Aspen Heights

The Statesboro Police Department is investigating an aggravated assault that occurred Sunday morning at Aspen Heights Apartments in Statesboro.

At approximately 1:49 am, SPD officers and Georgia State Patrol troopers responded to a call in reference to shots being fired in the area of Aspen Heights. Officers rendered first aid to a victim with a gun shot wound. Bulloch County EMS arrived on scene and transported the victim to the East Georgia Regional Medical Center. No other victims were located at the time of the initial incident report.

Detective Keith Holloway is investigating the case. No further information is being released at this time.
