SPD Makes Arrest in Child Molestation Investigation

The Statesboro Police Department arrested 31 year old Brandon Deroddrick Riggs of Statesboro last week on charges of child molestation, aggravated sodomy, and aggravated child molestation.

On August 4, SPD received a report that a juvenile had been touched inappropriately by an adult male multiple times over the last two years. Detective Keith Holloway with the Criminal Investigations Bureau began investigating and identified Brandon Riggs as the offender. He secured warrants for Riggs’ arrest.

SPD Cpl. Matthew Brinson arrested Riggs at a residence on Packinghouse Road. He remains in the Bulloch County Jail, awaiting further court action.
