Body of Missing Bulloch Co Man Found in the Water Near Williams Landing

According to the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office, a body was found today by DNR in the water near Williams Landing, and was identified as Jeffery Haymons. Haymons was reported missing on February 3.

On February 15th, the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office was notified by D.N.R. Rangers that they had discovered a body in the water near Williams Landing, the location in which they had been searching for Jeffery Haymons. Haymons was reported missing on February 3rd. Members of the Sheriff’s Office, along with multiple other agencies, had been conducting searches by water, land and air since Haymons went missing. Upon retrieving the body from the water, he was identified as Mr. Haymons. The body will be taken to the G.B.I. Crime Lab in Savannah for autopsy. Sheriff Brown would like to thank D.N.R., Bulloch County Public Safety and Bulloch County E.M.S. The Sheriff would also like to especially thank the Burke County Dive Team, who conducted an underwater search under difficult and dangerous circumstances.
