A new face is featured at Ogeechee Technical College in Statesboro.
Christina Harrell has joined OTC as the Resource Development Coordinator and will work with the Ogeechee Tech Foundation, Inc. in support of scholarships and other programs at the College.
Harrell has an extensive and diverse background. She most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer for Hunt’s Holding Company overseeing all financial operations for RE/MAX Eagle Creek Realty, Allstate Jake Futch Agency, Motto Mortgage, Papa Murphy’s, and Pawn City. Prior to that, she worked in public accounting for 10 years with Reddick, Riggs & Hunter, P.C.
“Christina’s background in accounting and her community involvement make her very qualified to work with the college’s foundation in generating resources to support the mission of the college and our students,” Michelle Davis, Vice President for College Advancement at Ogeechee Tech said in a press release issused recently.
Christina is no stranger to the region. She is a 2008 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a minor in Management and Fraud. In 2019, she was recognized as a Statesboro Herald 20 Under 40 and graduated from Leadership Bulloch. She is the treasurer of the Statesboro Exchange Club, a member of the Statesboro Jaycees, and she serves on the board of directors for the Statesboro Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Christina is married to Doug Harrell and they have a chocolate lab named Maddie. In her spare time, she says enjoys spending time with her family & friends and cheering on the GSU Eagles. She attends Connection Church.
Ogeechee Tech did not mention whose position Harrell was filling or whether or not the position is new.
