Early Lead Gives Lady Dogs Victory Over Mt. Zion, 10-2

After a rough stretch, the Lady Dogs (6-3) came out swinging against Mt. Zion, jumping out to an early lead and captured a 10-2 victory on Tuesday. With eight runs scored in the first three innings the Bulldogs put Mt. Zion away early.

Whitney Shepherd had a great game on the mound, striking out nine en route to the win. Shepherd allowed two earned runs on four hits and two walks over five innings.
Head Coach Lanham said, “it was great to get back in the win column after having a really rough week, the girls played really hard and with a renewed focus, we are a young team that will continue to grow and learn throughout the season.”
