The Trion Bulldogs had a scheduling dilemma when rivals, Gordon Lee, were bumped up into the AA division. The game had to be moved to August 21st and the Bulldogs were prepared for the early contest. Taking a 12-0 lead before the end of the first half, the stingy Bulldog defense stood tall all night and the starters kept the Trojan score board blank until late in the 4th quarter when back ups were seeing playing time. By then, Gabe Howell and Drake Clowdis had helped the offense roll up a 19 point lead and sent the Bulldog faithful home with a 19-7 victory in Chickamauga and a 1-0 record for 2015. Howell scored on a 49 yard pass from QB Jarrett Gill and punched in a 3 yard run as well. Clowdis scored on a 1 yard dive.
Second year head coach, Justin Brown looks to build on this strong start and a seasoned group of upper class-men are ready to contribute.
More highlights to come.
