An Incumbent Sweep

Key referendums on the City Of Summerville ballots brought out a higher than average number of voters as 328 citizens hit the polls at City Hall to make their voice heard. 126 Early votes were cast to bring the total to 454.

In the hotly contested Mayoral race, incumbent Mayor Harry Harvey edged out newcomer Chris Nixon 305 to 136.

Councilman Buddy Windle won re-election against Bobby Patterson 262-172, while David Ford held his seat against Michael “Preacher” Mack and Betty Brady.
