Sunflower Nails is Blooming — Hoa Opens Her Own Location in Downtown Summerville

There is something remarkable about a sunflower. Young sunflowers spend their days tracking the sun across the sky, turning east to west, following the light, always reaching toward warmth. And on the cloudy days when the sun is hidden, or in the quiet of the night when the world goes still, they do something even more beautiful. They turn toward each other.

It is hard to think of a more fitting name for what Hoa has built in Summerville.

The sunflower has always been Hoa’s favorite flower. So, when the time came to name her business, the choice was not just easy. It was perfect. In Vietnamese, Hoa means flower. She did not just name her salon after her favorite flower, a sunflower. And in a way, she named it after herself.

Most of her clients know her simply as Flower, and for the past two years, she has quietly been growing something inside Trendsetters Salon, building a loyal following one client at a time and earning the kind of trust that cannot be rushed.

Now it is her turn to plant something of her own.

Sunflower Nails is officially opening its doors at 10030 Commerce Street in Summerville, and Hoa did not just move into a space. She reimagined it. The location has been redesigned from the ground up, reflecting the warmth, creativity, and attention to detail that her clients have come to expect every time they sit down in her chair.

The new space is equipped with three pedicure chairs, three nail tables, and one lash chair, a full-service salon built to serve the community that has supported her from the beginning.

The Grand Opening

The community is invited to celebrate with Hoa at the official Grand Opening on Saturday, May 30, beginning at 2:00 PM at 10030 Commerce Street in Summerville. There will be finger food and refreshments, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony will also take place on Friday, May 29, at 11:30 am. Mark your calendars, stop by, and show Hoa some love.

Meet the Team

Hoa is not doing this alone. She has assembled a team that matches her commitment to quality and client care.

Her sister Chi Mai brings nearly 20 years of experience doing nails and cluster lashes to Sunflower Nails. Chi Mai takes tremendous pride in her experience and her attention to detail. She may be more reserved by nature, but her work speaks loudly, and her dedication to her clients is second to none.

Emily Holcomb joins the team with two years of experience in eyelash extensions, with results that typically last three to four weeks. Emily has recently expanded her services to include pedicures and has been perfecting that craft over the past two months. Those who know Emily describe her as kind, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, exactly the kind of energy a salon needs.

Business Hours and Booking

Sunflower Nails will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

To book an appointment, call or text 404-268-6864 or send a message on Facebook.

Now Hiring

Sunflower Nails is also looking to hire at least two experienced nail technicians to join the team at the new location. If you or someone you know has the skills and the passion for the craft, send them Hoa’s way.

Summerville has watched Hoa build something beautiful one client at a time. Now she has a space of her own to keep growing it.
