Chattooga Softball defeats Rome

The Chattooga Lady Indians had a big win over Rome on Wednesday.

The Chattooga Lady Indians had a big win over Rome on Wednesday.

The Lady Indians got on the board in the bottom of the first inning. Addie Veatch singled on a ground ball and advanced to third, tagging up on a pop fly by Libby Veatch. Ally Croy and Sophie Webb singled, both scoring a run.

Brinley Thomas started pitching for the Lady Indians. Thomas didn’t allow any hits or runs over five innings. Thomas struck out eight players.

Addie Veatch and Ally Croy each managed two hits. A’Lexus Kling and Croy each drive in two runs for the Lady Indians. Addie Veatch and Ally Croy both stole multiple bases throughout the game.

Libby Ann Veatch is a talented and passionate senior at Chattooga High School who worked with the Indian Lore for three years. She is a member of the Lady Indian Softball team, Attack Fast Pitch, and FCCLA. After high school Libby Ann plans to go to cosmetology school and become a hair stylist.
