Northwest Georgia: Monthly Project Update

Bartow County

• Old Alabama Road Widening: The project is about 43% complete. Current Completion Date: End of 2024.
• Cassville-White Road Roundabout Construction: The project is approximately 62% complete. Crews continue to build the roundabouts as well as new interstate ramps. Current Completion Date: Spring 2024.
• Highway 41 Bridge Construction over State Route 293 and CSX railroad in Emerson: Work is just beginning. Current Completion Date: End of 2025.

Cherokee County

• SR 20 Widening of I-575 to Scott Road: Approximately 90% complete. Crews are working on medians, sidewalks, and signals. Completion Date: Fall 2023.
• SR 20 Widening from Scott Road to Union Hill Road: Approximately 42% complete. Current Completion Date: End of 2024.

Gordon and Bartow County

• Resurfacing I-75 from US 411 to Dews Pond Road overpass: Approximately 9% complete. Current Completion Date: Early 2024.

Fannin County

• Bridge construction on SR 60 over Hothouse Creek: 40% complete. Grading continues. Current Completion Date: Spring 2024.

Buchanan \and Carroll County

• Roundabout construction on SR 16 at Columbia Drive and Brumbelow Road: 5% complete. Current Completion Date: Late 2024.

Haralson County

• Roundabout construction at Waco Road and I-20 interchanges: 84% complete. Current Completion Date::

Carroll County

• Bridge construction on US 27 over Little Tallapoosa River: 31% complete. Current Completion Date: Summer 2024.
• Villa Rica Bypass from SR 101 to SR 61: 18% complete. Current Completion Date: Late 2025.

Cobb and Paulding County

• SR 92 widening from Old Burnt Hickory Road to US 41: 20% complete. Storm drain and basin installation. Expected Completion Date: Spring 2026.

Douglas and Paulding County

• SR 92 widening from Malone Road to Nebo Road: 68% complete. Current Completion Date: Fall 2024.

Polk County

• Bridge construction on SR 101 over Euharlee Creek Tributary: 27% complete. Preparing to install main water pipe. Current Completion Date: Summer 2024.

Chattooga County

• Bridge construction on SR 48 over Raccoon Creek: 34% complete. Current Completion Date: Summer 2024.

Floyd County

• Bridge construction on SR 293 over Dykes Creek: 8% complete. Current Completion Date: Late 2025.
• Resurfacing SR 20 from SR 100 to SR 1: 4% complete. Current Completion Date: Late 2023.

Walker County

• Bridge construction on US 27 over West Chickamauga Creek: 78% complete. Current Completion Date: Late 2023.

• Bridge construction on Old Trion Highway over Old Dry Creek: 79% complete. Current Completion Date: Late 2023.
