First Friday Downtown Pep Rally August 4

The Downtown Statesboro Development Authority will host this month’s First Friday event, Downtown Pep Rally, August 4, 5:30 – 8:00 pm, on the courthouse lawn.

The pep rally will have local school marching bands, football and cheerleading teams showing their school spirit, including SEBHS’s back to back state champion flag football team. There will also be a performance by Cheer South All Stars.

Friday’s schedule:

• 5:30 Portal Middle and High School will open the pep rally
• 6:00 Cheer South All Stars will perform tumbling in honor of their 25th season
• 6:30 Southeast Bulloch High School marching band, football and cheerleading teams, and the school’s flag football team
• 7:30 Statesboro High School marching band, football and cheerleading teams

In addition to the pep rally, there will be over 50 vendors, including food trucks, and bouncy houses.

East Main Street will be closed 3:00 – 8:30 pm.
