At 5;16 AM EDT Fri Apr 8 2022 a frost advisory went into effective for the following counties:

Dade-Walker-Catoosa-Whitfield-Murray-Chattooga-Gordon-Floyd- Bartow-Cherokee-Forsyth-Hall-Polk-Paulding-Haralson-Carroll- Douglas- Including the cities of Calhoun, Rome, Cartersville, Gainesville, Carrollton, and Douglasville

…FROST ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 10 AM EDT SATURDAY… *

WHAT…Temperatures in the low to mid 30s will result in frost formation.

* WHERE…Portions of north central and northwest Georgia.

* WHEN…From 2 AM to 10 AM EDT Saturday. *

IMPACTS…Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

A Frost Advisory is issued when the minimum temperature is forecast to be 33 to 36 degrees on clear and calm nights during the growing season.
