Summerville Main Street is excited to help kick off the spring shopping season by partnering with Historic Downtown Businesses to present a Downtown Summerville Hop ‘N Shop. This free public event is scheduled for Saturday, March 27, between the hours of 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. The objective of this project is to provide a fun activity for the public that brings them through the doors of the downtown small businesses.
How Does The Hop ‘N Shop Work?
Event participants will receive a locations map with participating businesses the day of the event. The maps/passports may be picked up at Summerville Commerce Print & Ship, located at 10101 Commerce Street beginning at 10:30 a.m. To join the fun, event goers will simply visit the participating businesses to complete the passport map during the hours of the Hop ‘N Shop event. There is no purchase necessary to participate. Upon entering the participating business, all event participants will have the sales clerk/cashier to stamp theirpassport map. Adult event participants will open a plastic egg at each participating business to receive a discount or prize. Childevent participants accompanying an adult will receive a small token or candy at each participating business compliments ofSummerville Main Street. Upon completion of the passport map, event participants will turn in the passport to Life Purpose Worship Center, located at 10091 Commerce Street.
Grand Prize Drawings
Completed passports will be entered for a Grand Prize Drawing to be held at 3PM. Adults completing the passport will be entered to win a $200 Grand Prize and children turning in completed passports will be entered to will a $100 Grand Prize. Grand Prizes are sponsored by Summerville Main Street. Event participants do not need to be present to win. Summerville Main Street is encouraging the public to support local Summerville small businesses by shopping during and following this event.
