US HWY 80 Resurfacing Project Now Underway in Bryan County

Work on the nearly six mile long portion of US Highway 80 extents from the Ogeechee River to the Bulloch County line.

McLendon Enterprises, Inc. began work Monday evening on the $1.2 million resurfacing project on US 80/SR 26 in Bryan County.

Work on the nearly six mile long portion of US Highway 80 extents from the Ogeechee River to the Bulloch County line.

McLendon will be performing milling and asphalt inlay operations then striping the roadway each night from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. Single lane closures are utilized on this two-lane roadway with flaggers to aid traffic through the work zone. Project completion is expected by the end of this year but all work is contingent on weather and other factors.

Whenever you approach a work zone: slow down; allow extra distance between vehicles; read signs; obey road crew flaggers; and expect the unexpected.
