Sunbury boat ramp temporarily closed

The Sunbury Boat Ramp at the end of Ft. Morris Road in Sunbury, Ga., will be closed for 45 days beginning today for a parking lot improvement project.

During this time the boat ramp and fishing pier will closed. Other nearby boat ramps can be found at www.GeorgiaOutdoorMap.com or by calling the Coastal Resources Division at 912-264-7218.

During the improvement project, crews will be adding boat parking spaces, repaving the lot, creating a new grass over-flow parking area and adding a restroom facility.
