The Georgia Forestry Commission (GFC) has named five employees to its new team of Region Managers, who will lead the agency’s efforts to serve landowners across the state. Region Managers will manage all aspects of agency business in their regions and will serve on the GFC’s Executive Leadership Team.
The new Region Managers are:
- Willie Boston, Region 1
- Kris Butler, Region 2
- Jason Gillis, Region 3
- Gabe Outlaw, Region 4
- Blair Joiner, Region 5
The new management structure has been designed as part of the agency’s ‘Moving Forward’ modernization effort, enabling the delivery of more efficient and effective services to Georgians statewide. Landowners will continue to have their local contacts in place to provide resource information and schedule services.
“Each of our new region managers bring varied experience and fresh enthusiasm to the GFC mission,” said Georgia Forestry Commission Director Tim Lowrimore. “As we work together to protect and conserve our state’s rich forest resources, this new management team will be leading the way for healthy, sustainable forests that keep Georgia the #1 forestry state in the nation.”
The GFC Region Managers will assume their positions on January 16, 2024.
