SCC Atlanta Gives $105,000 to Help Local Kids in Need

Local kids in need received a helpful boost recently from the Atlanta Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities (SCC).

During its annual Grant Distribution Ceremony, SCC Atlanta awarded 24 organizations grants that will fuel their efforts to assist metro Atlanta children. A total of $105,000 in grants were distributed in Atlanta Motor Speedway’s victory lane during the ceremony.

“Today wouldn’t be possible without the contributions of our volunteers and all the people who have supported us with donations. From providing housing to kids in crisis, feeding the hungry, to cancer support and so much more, the funds received today will make a real difference for more than 56,000 children in our area,” said SCC Atlanta Chapter Director Kathy Bradley. “It’s an honor to meet our grant recipients each year and do our part to help their causes.”

Each year SCC Atlanta holds fundraisers in conjunction with AMS events, such as its two NASCAR Cup Series race weekends, and standalone initiatives like the annual Kids Win Golf Tournament and unique experiences like Laps for Charity.

With local chapters at each of Speedway Motorsports, Inc.’s 11 premier NASCAR facilities, Speedway Children’s Charities makes a positive impact on children across the country. In 2023 alone, those chapters collectively distributed $4.2 million to charities that directly impact children in need. Since its inception in 1982, SCC has awarded more than $69 million to nonprofit organizations throughout the nation.
