GBI Investigating Skeletal Remains Found in Towns County

At the request of the Towns County Sheriff’s Office, the GBI is conducting a death investigation regarding human skeletal remains found in the 8000 block of Gumlog Road in Towns County, Georgia, on January 1, 2024.

The skeletal remains have not been identified. An autopsy will be performed on the remains at the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office.

The GBI and the Towns County Sheriff’s Office are actively investigating the death.
