GBI Investigating Deadly Shooting in Glennville

The GBI is investigating a shooting near Martin Luther King Drive and Church Drive in Glennville that left a man dead. On Monday, December 18, 2023, at about 7:30 p.m., the Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI to investigate the death of Tyrice Harkeem Tigner, age 32, of Glennville.

The investigation indicates at around 6:05 p.m., Glennville Police Department officers and Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to multiple 911 calls which reported a shooting. When law enforcement arrived, they found Tigner suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Tigner was taken via ambulance for treatment, but he died enroute to a medical facility.

This investigation is active and ongoing. Once complete, it will be given to the Atlantic Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for review.
