Four Sentenced to Life in Prison Following Guilty Verdict in Albany Triple Murder Trial

Attorney General Chris Carr, Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia (PAC) Executive Director Peter J. Skandalakis, and District Attorney Gregory W. Edwards of the Dougherty Judicial Circuit today announced that Ticorey Frazier, Kareem Williams, Quadarrien Harvey and Shon Mallory have each been sentenced to three terms of life without parole, plus additional years. The defendants were previously found guilty in three homicides, a home invasion that left a victim paralyzed from the chest down, and two aggravated assaults following a three-week jury trial in Dougherty County. This case was prosecuted by Director of Capital Litigation Sheila Ross and Gang Resource Prosecutor John Regan of PAC, Senior Assistant Attorney General Cara Convery of the Attorney General’s Gang Prosecution Unit, and Assistant District Attorney Sallay Jusu of the Dougherty Judicial Circuit.

“Working with PAC and the District Attorney’s Office, we have closed the final chapter in a very difficult case that’s left families devastated and lives permanently altered,” said Attorney General Chris Carr. “For years, the victims have waited for their day in court, and now justice has been served. With this verdict and each life sentence that’s been handed down, we are continuing to send a strong message that acts of violence will not be tolerated in our state.”

“I am proud of the dedicated prosecutors who, from three different state agencies, worked together to serve the interests of justice” said PAC Executive Director, Peter J. Skandalakis. “Today, the victims who lost their lives, the victims who were injured and traumatized and all their families finally obtained the justice they patiently waited to receive. The verdicts of the jury and the sentences imposed by the court also make the community safer.”

“We are grateful that after all of the evidence was presented, a jury of the citizens of Dougherty County returned verdicts that spoke the truth,” said District Attorney Gregory W. Edwards of the Dougherty Judicial Circuit. “We are hopeful that the sentences that were imposed reflected the gravity of this trauma and will provide justice for the victims in this matter. Hopefully the futility of the crimes these individuals committed will be recognized as a loss to all parties and the community of Dougherty County and serve as a deterrent for further criminality.”
