Holiday Train Rides Around Georgia from Explore Georgia

There are so many fun holiday adventures to be had around the peach state. Explore Georgia has shared their list of 8 Holiday Train Rides Around Georgia.

Blue Ridge Scenic Railway – Take a ride through the mountains, alongside the winding Toccoa River, and visit with Santa.

Atlanta Botanical Garden Holiday Ride-on Train – View millions of lights on the Ride-On Train, as well as enjoy the miniature train and trolley winding through a mountain village town.

Stone Mountain Park Sing-along Train – Visit Santa in his office, journey through the Musical Frosted Forest, see Polar Express in 4D, and ride on the sing-along train.

Southeastern Railway Museum in Duluth – Enjoy refreshments and entertainment, mingle with Santa and his elves, take a ride with Santa at the museum, and write letters to Santa and have pictures taken in a historic setting.

SAM Shortline Excursion Train in Southwest Georgia – Ride along in 1949 vintage cars on the SAM Shortline Excursion Train. Enjoy hot chocolate and cookies while Santa hands out gifts. Passengers can also shop the retail stores on Main Street and explore the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site Museum.

Linger Longer Express at Lake Oconee –  Hop aboard and sing along to a few Christmas classics, while enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Georgia Coastal Railway in Kingsland – Choose the “Operation: Save Christmas Train” and join the crew on a mission to save Christmas after Santa crash-landed his sleigh in the southern Georgia woods, or choose the “Santa Special” for a 70-minute journey in climate-controlled rail cars with Santa and his friends.

Pine Mountain Gold Museum Winter Wonderland Train – Join Santa, Mrs. Claus, Rudolph, The Grinch, and more for Winter Wonderland Train rides.
